It is only a 1.5 hour drive from Denver to the Winterpark Resort and you do not have to deal with the Eisenhower Tunnel. Snowfall at the Resort averages around 350 inches per year. This year is going to be an El Nino year so look out for lots of snow early and late.
Pricing at Winterpark is roughly one third cheaper as that at the other destination resorts in Colorado. From lodging, restaurants, lift tickets and lift tickets prices are less here than those resorts on the I-70 corridor.
